Guest guest Posted March 21, 2009 Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 Years ago now, my teenage son was frying something in the kitchen, probably in a largish pot of oil. I don't remember the details, but there is still a big smoke spot on my ceiling and the fire department did not need to be called because he calmly turned off the heat and put a lid on the pot. THEN he let me know there had been an issue. Gotta laugh now. When I mentioned it to him recently, he referred to it as a backflash and was surprised I had never gotten the smoke off the ceiling. What can I say, it is a textured ceiling and the little bit I did get clean was a LOT of work.
