Guest guest
raw nuts! what about canned soup? or canned/jarred sauces like for stir fry and stuff like that. My favorite soap (dr bronner's) is cheaper at health food stores, so I stock up on that when I go home to all the good health food stores. I don't have a Trader Joes or stores like that where I live but will be visiting them for Christmas and they have better stores. What kind of things that keep do you have on hand? I want some dried soy or rice milk. Any favorite brands? I might by a sample there and then get it online if I like it. I do eat dairy but can't stand milk so use the rice or soy milk. I know I want beans and dried fruit but hopefully you can give me some other ideas. I don't like canned vegetables except for corn. I don't eat sugar but will eat honey, maple syrup, or molasses. I can bake but can't really cook althogh I have made a couple of recipes from here. Anyway, please give me some of the things you have on hand. Guest guest
You're going to have so much fun! I've never been in a Trader Joe's, but I can spend a lot of time (and money) in a Whole Foods -- that's why I try to stay away from them! I like to have canned soup and frozen mashed potatoes on hand for flu season, as well as the Hunt's gel packs (like jello but without gelatin). If you can find the Worthington/Loma Linda canned meat substitutes, those would be good -- I've only ever had the hot dogs, but the frozen " Wham " is fake ham and it's great. I absolutely love the Quorn brand fake chicken and grounds, which are frozen. If you're driving, that may be a possibility. Merry Christmas! Audrey S.
