Guest guest
It's great you sent back the recipe. I'm behind at filing them and the darn search box still isn't working. I wanted to try this recipe. I love peas too. Have you ever made mock guamole with thawed frozen peas? Thought I'd include the recipe this time! Jann
Guest guest
Well I'm glad I was over-efficient this time! I didn't use exactly the types and amounts of peas called for (I use what I have on hand). That sounds good! I'll have to try it! I'm so glad I grew up eating frozen peas, I can't stand canned peas! (the only thing I'll use once in a while is beets and corn (hubby LOVES canned corn...). Jann thelilacflower wrote: > It's great you sent back the recipe. I was in the ninth grade before my mother started preparing fresh veggies. I cannot imagine what it would be like to eat canned green beans today. Just the thought of it is gross. However, I still eat canned corn, but only on green salad. I love sprinkling corn niblets on my salads. I've been doing that for years... - DJ ----------------------- Always remember: Today's mighty oak is simply yesterday's nut that held its ground... Guest guest
We also had canned green beans, just never the peas! And my parents (my dad) always had a garden (and his parents were farmers, came to this country from the Ukraine and grew veggies, especially corn which they sold in a roadside stand nextdoor to us) so was lucky that I was shown how wonderful fresh veggies are!
