Guest guest
What can you do? I have 2 huge avocado trees that bear hundreds of fruit & the squirrels do the same thing. Take one bite, and throw it on the ground. They don't get them all by a long shot, though. Also, we have raccoons that eat grapes & they all munch the oranges, grapefruit, pomegranates & persimmons. It's OK. I don't mind feeding the animals as long as they leave some fruit for us! They are really good about it in my neighborhood! :) --- On Thu, 5/7/09, Ann Herring <mom-2-4 wrote: > Ann Herring <mom-2-4 > Re: Re: OT- baby birds (and rabbits) - tomato thieves > > Cc: " Ann Herring " <mom-2-4 > Thursday, May 7, 2009, 8:11 PM > My neighborhood has gobs and gobs of squirrels and they just > love all > my fruits and vegetables. Guest guest
> They don't leave me ANY pecans at all...... the only pecans I got last fall was what I picked off a limb that broke in heavy wind. The very next day the rest of the pecans on my 2 small trees were completely stripped clean. Not one pecan left. I have no idea where they took them. ?????? But those pecans I saved from the broken limb until I could get some of the hulls to come off, and let them sit in the shells for several months..... were not filled out enough to eat..... such a waste. I don't think the squirrels could even eat them either. I'll bet someone somewhere has a big pile of pecans in their yard! I'm talking about a LOT of pecans! > It's OK.
