Guest guest
Ok, help me out here. I grew up hearing you are what you eat and the way my mother cooked, believe me I was. I had years of problems besides not eating right. An Indian friend of mine told me if I tried this I would feel better. My granddaughter said that while she was doing it she felt better. Some people say you get your iron from meat, if that was true, I shouldn't be enemic. I would love to know all the vegtables that would build up iron. I was raised as my parents were and now I'm looking to improve that. Vegtables were the last thing I looked for except when I raised a garden. I want to retrain myself and at my age it'll be teaching an old dog new tricks. But I want to learn. Carol
Guest guest
Hi Deanna, Have you ever tasted raw corn, it's great. I picked green beans out of the garden and ate them raw. Really good that way. Maybe if I try hard I can skip the flu shot that doesn't work anyway. lol Carol --- On Thu, 1/15/09, genny_y2k <genny_y2k wrote: genny_y2k <genny_y2k Re: you are what you eat Thursday, January 15, 2009, 5:38 PM Carol, Join the crowd. I'm in my 60's and still learning. When I was growing up I thought all food came in a tin can. Then we moved to a rural setting with a pea field on one side and potato on the other. I actually had never eaten raw vegetables or knew anything about herbs and spices. Brother and I shucked peas and ate them raw and that was the beginning of my love for food, especially veggies and fruits. 25 yrs. ago I became a Vegetarian. I still on occasion eat organic butter, cheese, and eggs. So far it's working for me. While others around me are experiencing *colds* I'm feeling great. Haven't had a cold in many years and never the flu. (knock on wood) I laugh alot and love life. Is that because I am what I eat? I don't know. Actually I find that what I think I know is often proven wrong. LOL Life is just way too much fun sometimes Deanna in Colorado ************ ********* ********* ********* ********* ********* ********* **** Carol Redding <dilledmutton@ ...> wrote: > Ok, help me out here. Guest guest
I LOVE raw green beans, that's the only way I ever ate them. Of course, I don't know how anybody likes canned green beans. Raw green beans are kind of sweet, I think. Audrey S.
