Guest guest
That is a stereo typical rey. Remember Charles Manson is a vegetarian and I know many kind meat eaters and many aggressive nasty. Vegetarians. I don't believe that theory for a minute. I know a vegan who hates animals. I have 2 dear friends who have a ranch filled with all injured and stray animals they find on the highways and streets and they aren't vegetarians and hekp everyone. I have always thought that it was the added hormone burden they take on from the animal's flesh. Some say it is a " beast-like " spirit that they ingest. Who knows? I would love to benefit from some of your recipes, we love Indian Food and we have many friends who have shared recipes with us over the years. Peace and Blessings. Guest guest
no offense meant to anyone whether meat eater or vegetarian . but generally what state the animal was in before it was slaughtered -exited,afraid or angry those feelings tend to pass on to individuals who eat that meat.this was actually said in the vedas. one more interesting information i read somewhere which i want to share is that have u noticed the meat eating animal's claws, nails and teeth? compare it with the herbivorous animals.see the difference. then finally see whether humans have any of those attributes like sharp claws and nails.teeth structure. also ive noticed after a spicy meal(not chillies but spices) you feel more aggresive, your desires increase. Iam not trying to sound like a saint but lot of my friens have noticed these behavioural changes.this is just an information i would like to share with all not change anybody's preferences. vidhya , thelilacflower wrote: > > That is a stereo typical rey. Guest guest
It is interesting how deeply a chord such a statement has touched. First it should be noted that in one of my last posts I strongly encouraged respect and tolerance for those who do not share my beliefs. I am not a rebel vegetarian, I believe that everyone must choose the path they will follow and be responsible for the choices they make- good or bad. And yes, you will find exceptions to any and every observation, that is part of the joy of being human. As a doctor of Natural Medicine, it has been my OBSERVATION, both inside my practice and with research projects that I have worked on both in Eastern and Western modalities of healing, that the saying " you are what you eat " can be manifested in many different ways, one of those being to amplify or pacify certain personality traits. This is understood to a greater degree in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Healing. My saying that I have observed more aggression in meat eaters, is simply that- my observation. I have seen the change in myself, my patients and friends that there seems to be a lessening of aggression when meat is eliminated from the diet. That does not mean that we are all happy rainbow chasing animal lovers or that all meat eaters are violent, savages. People are people, their core evil or good is still going to be the same, but what we feed our minds, bodies and spirits does influence how our core personalities will manifest themselves. Guest guest
We had snow today so I was doing a phone consult when I read this. I burst out laughing at this post right in the middle of my client telling me of their progress. I had to explain to her why I was laughing and she found it even funnier than I did. (Thank Goodness!) Thanks for the smile from both of us!
Guest guest
" I think it is important that vegetarians don't become judgmental or self-righteous towards people who do not share their philosophy of life. " That is why I love this group. I would not have become vegetarian if it hadn't been due to the other groups or vegetarians I met were so critical that I never wanted to associate with them. Even now I almost aplogize because of the " bad press " from a handful of over zealous vegs, but I tell everyone of course that the group I'm on is wonderful and not judgemental in anyway. Several of my students have become veg and I've had to pull them aside to let them know that the best way to promote their lifestyle is to do it in love and as any example without condeming. In fact at Christmas the school had a Medieval Feast with 6 courses and they did some vegetarian for us. So many of the people loved the vegetarian soup I made better than the chicken/noodle that the others brought. What better way than to just have " great food " . Again,. thanks for all being so understanding -- I couldn't have done this without all your great support and recipes.
