Guest guest
Aren't you smart, Roseta! Green tomatoes don't get eaten, hmm... I think I might have a problem with my little yellow grape tomatoes when I get some. My fat little squirrel buddy with only half a tail who eats seeds, peanuts, occasional fruit pits and seasonal pumpkin off my patio year-round may think I've added something else for his benefit... I'll just have to try to beat him to them! He's getting to be kind of an old guy for a squirrel, he's around 3 years old. Audrey S.
Guest guest
Thanks Audrey, I wish I was that smart but we found out by experience. It does make sense though and I heard the same from other tomato gardeners. What is the name of the yellow grape tomato you are growing? I am not as kind as you and view squirrels as part pest, part annoyance, and part food for the feral cats. I do not harm them and I grow a lot of sunflowers, partly to feed them (and many other pests-cute pets). During the winter they eat pecans from the huge pecan tree. Then they pick all the pecans from my garden beds, making holes in them. I suppose squirrel stew would not be vegetarian? (i am joking...........) , Audrey Snyder <AudeeBird wrote: > > Aren't you smart, Roseta!
