Hello Beth, I think we have here a classic case of possessed mandolin, very

usual in some Eastern Europe kitchens. Beware! ;-) Maybe some blessed water

will fix the mandolin. Best, JL

There is likely a guard for it so you don't slice and dice your fingers...

No, you don't understand.... I can't pick it up to move it to the counter to

use. It's evil, I tell you. and yes, there is a guard but it's odd & awkward.

Doesn't matter, I'm not going near it!

EVIL <bleeping> THINGS. All I have to do is LOOK at it & my finger is sliced

wide open.  I won't even pick it up to throw it away.  Anyone who wants mine

is welcome to it - it's in my basement.  Free to good home but you need to come

& get it.  It's a GOOD one too - spent a pile o'money on it.  Metal w/lots of

scary attachments. @#$%*( thing.

There is likely a guard for it so you don't slice and dice your fingers...I

can't help but giggle as I've had numerous cuts from mine and they hurt like

heck and bleed enough to make you think you might need a transfusion!! Try the

guard thingy! It really does help.
