Hi, Jillian again! I was wondering if any of you have the Imus ranch

cookbook. My mother gave it to my DH for Xmas last year and I have to tell you,

they're some of the best recipes we've tried! Especially the baked ziti!! To

die for!!! The first part of the book is the story of the ranch and its

inception. Very touching...

ALSO, we're going to try growing our own mushrooms this year! One of my

sons (hippie at 25) did the whole process for us, we found organic wood mulch

yesterday and have the perfect damp, dark spot for them. He has his planted

and they're looking like they're making a good network of spores or

whatever their root system is! From what Cody (son) told us, the process is

quite

involved and takes about 10 days just to get a batch ready and

germinating. We have a quart canning jar full! They'll be winecaps. I plan to

document

the whole thing... I'm a camera addict and have to document everything in

images.. I'll post on my blog about our yard being landscaped with veggie

plants! :)

Peace and Love!

Jillian

I have read a different book by Deidre Imus about using natural care for your

home, but I didn't know there was a cookbook. I will have to check it out!
