Guest guest
I've had this mixture many times and when I make them they are so bland. I can't quite figure out what the spices are that are sometimes used...Not spicy, not soy sauce...I don't really care for soy sauce....I don't know what was used. Any suggestions? thanks...ah
Guest guest
You could add some sauted mushrooms, onions and garlic to it. Ms. Dash and lemon pepper adds some great flavor. Dry frying pan toasted cumin seeds or some ground cumin is good. Bakon - hickory smoked yeast seasoning that many enjoy to replace a smoky flavor in beans that they may have gotten used to when they ate me*t before. It is found in many health food stores and places on the internet like these two places http://www.trueharvest.com/product_info.php/products_id/6164 http://store.foodfightgrocery.com/bakon-yeast-hickory-smoke-seasoning.html Judy - Andra Hughes Saturday, May 02, 2009 8:28 AM Spices for black-eyed peas, brown rice, broccoli I've had this mixture many times and when I make them they are so bland.
