red lentils

My mom bought about 2 pounds of red lentils, tried them and didn't like them so

sent them to me. I understand red lentils cook up creamy. I checked the files

and there are some recipes specifically for red lentils. Any I should try first?

I love red lentils. Look for the Red Velvet soup recipe in the soup files.

I love Robin Robertson's Curried Lentils with Carrots and Peas (from

Vegan Planet). The recipe calls for brown lentils, but my partner and I

like it much better with red ones. It also freezes really well. I triple

the recipe and try to always have some around. Did I mention I love this

recipe? ;^)

 

The Ezo Gelin (Turkish Wedding Soup) recipe that Chupa posted and the

Abby's recipe for Sweet Red Lentils are also very, very good!

 

I think all of these are in the files, but I can post them if you have

any trouble finding them. Just holler
