Guest guest
I recieved a recipe from another group, and it called for refried black bleans, I have never seen these in the store (I love black beans). Im sure I can do them myself, either from a can or dry beans (tho I suck at making beans!) Does anyone have an idea on how I could do this myself? Guest guest
I cook them in the crockpot or pressure cooker and I scoop the beans out and place in my dutch over with a little bean juice and I mash them with the potato masher and stir and mash again. really easy. Guest guest
I would saute up some onions and garlic then add some chile powder, cumin powder and some crushed red pepper flakes stir couple of minutes to combine, add the canned beans, I would drain at least half the liquid from the can if using 1 can if using more leave one can with the liquid and drain the rest, Stir to combine, heat thru then using the back of your spoon mash the beans against the side of the pot, stir some more do this until you get the consistency you want. I usually leave my beans a little chunky. Eat and enjoy. Gayle In a message dated 12/29/2008 12:27:01 P.M.
