new to group!!

Hi everyone,

I recently joined your group in hopes to learn some new recipes, and possibly

share some of my own. I have to admit, I am not a vegetarian, however, I did

follow a vegetarian diet for bout 8 months. This was several years ago, and when

I had a more diciplined demeaner.

 

My decison to have more vegetarian dishes, came shortly after new years. I began

dating someone from Germany, who had a diet which I consider to be rich in me*t

and potatoes. While this is ok for him, it does not sit well for me or my

digestive system. I have found myself to be more irritable, bloated, and

constipated lately. Also, I frequently take naps during the day....ect. Without

getting too much into that area, I would like to try eating meatless meals 3-4

times a week. As far as my boyfriend is concerned, it would be nice to limit his

intake to once or twice a week. (yes....it's that serious...LOL). Not only would

this be better healthwise, but I think it will save on our grocery bills as

well!!

 

By the way, I'm 37 and he's 63yrs old. So, you can see why I choose to start

this life ASAP. If anyone has any suggestions, on how I can ease into this diet,

without it becoming overwhelming, then I would be open to this. Thanks again,

for having me as a member of your group.
