Yogurt and cottage cheese (does it have gelatin or no?)

This is interesting, because I have not always been a stickler about the gelatin

(in yogurt or cottage cheese).  I just don't like all the additives and gums,

corn sweeteners, and " filler " , let alone the gelatin as well.  I've found that

the yogurts and cottage cheese that have the fewest of the OTHER additives also

don't have the gelatin.

The ONLY yogurt I buy when I shop around where I live is the Stonyfield Fat Free

Vanilla (or plain, if I want to make my own flavors).  The ONLY good cottage

cheese I have found (and the selection is REALLY limited where I live) is the

Daisy brand.  It seems to have less additives in general.  I am glad it also has

no gelatin added as well. That's the kind I've been buying and I wasn't actually

aware about it not having gelatin in it.

Before the grocery where I shop started carrying Stonyfield, I always looked for

the Dannon Natural yogurt (in the large containers).  Reading the label, it

didn't have high fructose corn syrup or starch added, along with other stuff.

Some of the other yogurts look more appealing and " pudding-y " , but I know they

have added ingredients, and that is why they are so " fluffy " and sweet.  Same

with adding gelatin--it's just for " looks " , anyway.

Peace!

I'm a fan of Daisy brand, too. Nothing in their sour cream but sour cream!

:)
