Guest guest
I was making some winter squash, and i shelled out my two halves. Question: Can you save and eat the seeds ? Around Halloween, thanksgiving when we decorate our pumpkins. we save the seeds. Can this be done with winter squash too? And if so, how would you prepare them? thanks in advance faye
Guest guest
I would do them the same way I roast sunflower seeds. Soak overnight in very salty water (do not be afraid to make it really salty, the final product will not be). After that strain them so they are dry and spread them in baking/cookie sheet. Bake at 300F for a few minutes. You need to decide on the time by taking a seed out of the oven from time to time and see if it is toasted to your liking. , " faye2223 " <faye2223 wrote: > > > I was making some winter squash, and i shelled out my two halves. > Question: Can you save and eat the seeds ? > > Around Halloween, thanksgiving when we decorate our pumpkins. > we save the seeds.
