Guest guest
I've lived in MA all my life - you get used to it! LOL! I HATE hot, humid weather, so I really enjoy the change each season brings. And I prefer when the weather stays fairly consistent and appropriate to the season - your yo-yo temps would drive me crazy! Jann Audrey Snyder <AudeeBird wrote: > > It's because it's not constant -- it's the people who live up north who have consistently bad winters that I feel bad for! Two days last week we had 60-70 degree temperatures and sun. Yesterday and today it's in the teens, then tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 30 degrees. None of it lasts long! Guest guest
Jann, I KNOW you get more snow than we do! And the most we get is maybe 4 inches at a time, once a year. Do you get ice storms there? I know somebody in Kentucky said they do, like we do here in Kansas and Missouri. We'll have a low of 10 degrees occasionally in the winter (but maybe only a week's worth in a whole winter), and then 95-degrees and 80-90% humidity in the summer. The humidity is hard. My sister moved to Denver, where there is hardly any humidity (from Kansas City). She's mad because she has tried a half-dozen different hair products to make her naturally curly hair curl -- nothing, it's flat! She comes back here (even in the winter), and boing! it curls. She says her friends there don't believe her that she's got curly hair. I wouldn't mind the low humidity, my fine, straight hair would actually have some body! It flops in the humidity. Audrey S. Guest guest
We have ice here (MD) today. We had a couple of inches of snow, followed by icy sleet. Humidity is the worst, and we can have it even in the winter. It's been a long since I've been in your (Audrey) state. It was flooded and was so sad to see the homes with soggy furniture outside. Jann, in what part of MA are you living? My youngest son is in MA and is tired of snow :>) Diana --- On Wed, 1/28/09, Audrey Snyder <AudeeBird wrote: Audrey Snyder <AudeeBird Re: OT Audrey weather Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 9:23 AM Jann, I KNOW you get more snow than we do! Guest guest
That's crummy. The best is an inch or two of ice, then snow on top of it. Audrey S. Guest guest
We don't seem to get ice storms too often, although today it may change over to rain (then it will freeze, THAT'S what's tough). No school today, good day to do some cooking (I'm putting something in one of my crockpots!). I think it's more problematic for an area like yours because it's only occassional. That's bizarre about your sister's hair! Mine is like yours too, fine and flat in this weather. Jann Audrey Snyder <AudeeBird wrote: > Jann, I KNOW you get more snow than we do!
