I made some juice tonight with 4 organic carrots, an organic pear and an organic apple. It was ok, but I won't put the pear in next time. I looked through the files and found a couple of recipes for juicing. What is everyone's favorite juice? I saved the pulp and will make some muffins for the kids tomorrow with it. Guest guest Posted January 27, 2009 Report Share Posted January 27, 2009 I like zucchini, celery, carrot and half an apple. You can toss some pulp info bran muffins. I add some into carrot bread too. There is a pulp recipe folder in the recipe files. If you create a recipe using the pulp let us know and we will file it in the folder. I have used the resulting pulp to make pineapple-coconut-oatmeal cookies. I also use my juicer to make ginger juice, which I put into any number of drinks, and also into sauces. Most convenient. Muffins sounds like a good idea - Have also added it to compost or scratch it directly into the garden - earthworm food! Worm castings are such an excellent soil amendment. I realize this isn't quite a " gardening " group, but I do like to grow food, too.
