Guest guest
This is good advice for any athletic undertaking. I would like to add: visualize the boxing match with your moves, your brothers moves, and you responding to your brothers punches and footwork; visualize your self winning as well. Wednesday, December 31, 2008, 9:01 AM What you need to eat is more mental than physical. They have been feeding you loads of crap ideas (please excuse my rural " French " ), especially with the " coach " in the role of expert and leader, such that you can be beaten even if you do eat the best/right foods. (I'm not saying disrespect your coach, but it will help to take the coach out of the " knows-all-and- knows-best " category in your mind.) Know that you can and WILL win and you will. Set that in your mind while you are eating the healthier foods, knowing the energy balance from your healthy foods will give you the stamina and energy to win. Don't overcome the mental images they've been impounding in your psyche and it won't happen. + John - mojoeriley Tuesday, December 30, 2008 5:22 PM [vegetarian_ group] What should I eat while this week before I box my brother? This might be something someone could really hook me up on. Me and my older brother go to a boxing gym. Every Monday you can challenge someone who is ranked higher than you. I challenged him in front of everyone Monday. I beat him wrestling one day and ever since have kind of wondered if I could take him. He teases me about being vegan and the coach even says I should eat lots of meat and protein to be a good fighter. I know that it will show a few people that vegans are'nt just weak, frail wimps if I do good. Besides, I just think it would be so cool to beat him fair and square even though he is taller and older. What should I eat for the next few days that would give me a lot of energy? ..
