Guest guest
I didn't grow up eating bologna, bacon, linch meats or corndogs so I don't buy those procuts too often but what I have tried has been great. I love the the Yves brats are yummy, Tofurky Italian sausage, the frozen bacon now and them, the Smart Dogs with all the condiments on them, Trader Joe's Masala burgers are great and only $2.49 a box and even vegan. The Riblets are great on a bun or as a side dish. Fri Chik is very good too. I still enjoy making loaves and patties from our recipe files but the alternative products are wonderful for me when I'm in a rush, especially in hot weather, who wants to stand over the stov e in the heat.. Guest guest
I agree with Audrey - ethical has nothing to do meat substitutes. We probably all were raised on meat...and it could be that having the substitutes helps some people stop abusing animals...We need to applaud those who have made these substitutes available. ________________________________
Guest guest
Absolutely! 30 yrs ago there were slim pickings for vegetarians in the way of cookbooks and alternative products so you know I'm not about to bash them or anyone eating them, including myself. We have come a very long way and it's very easy to become a veg nowadays.
