Aunt Diane's Brownie Cake

 

1 cup water

1 stick oleo

1/2 c. shortening

1/4 c. cocoa

Boil, then pour over:

 

2 c. flour

2 c. sugar

1/2 c. buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1 tsp baking soda

Mix and put in greased and floured jelly roll pan (or two 9x13 pans -- it's

supposed to be thin), bake 20-25 min at 350F

 

 

Icing:

 

1 stick oleo

1/4 c. cocoa

1/3 c. buttermilk

Boil, then add:

 

1-1lb box powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Pour over warm cake. Sprinkle nuts on top if desired.
