Guest guest
Hi, I'm planning on testing out a recipe that calls for evaporated cane juice. I have never seen this, so it must be something that you can only get at health food stores. Does anyone know if you can substitute something like agave for this and whether or not it would be an equal substitution? I'm making some healthy crackers that are done in a dehydrator. I'm anxious to get started, but I just don't know enough about this type of recipe or this cane juice to be confident enough to proceed. This recipe is interesting. It contains lots of produce, like peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, zucchini, etc., plus flax seed and flax meal. It should be extremely healthy. I recently found out that I have a gluten allergy and then discovered that any gluten-free cracker or snack is big bucks. So, I bought an Excalibur dehydrator and I'm going to try my hand at making some of these crackers and things. Basically, I'm aiming for a raw food diet since I can't have wheat, oats, cheese, milk, peanuts or much of anything. If anyone has any cracker or cookie recipes for the dehydrator that don't contain these products, I would love to have them. Thanks!
