Guest guest
I love Chili... For something quick I take the box of " Fantastic " chili mix.. Fry up some green pepper and onions ... add tomatoes and the water called for and throw in some salsa and it is ready quickly.. Guest guest
I agree, chili has to be my top winter comfort food. I also like different stews/soups. For a drink, I do warm milk with honey and nutmeg...mmmmm - Jamie --- On Tue, 2/3/09, Hope for the Heart ~Margaret Mary <hopefortheheart wrote: Hope for the Heart ~Margaret Mary <hopefortheheart Re: Question of the Week - What are you favorite winter comfort foods Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 11:00 AM I love Chili... Guest guest
Faux-Starbucks Soy Chai Tea Latte! 1 cup powdered nonfat milk 1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer 1 cup french vanilla flavored creamer 1.5 cups white sugar 2 tsp ground ginger 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground cloves 1/2 tsp ground cardamon (pricey, but important!) 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp allspice 1/4 tsp white pepper (opt) Combine in bowl, then put in food processer or blender in small batches and process until it's a fine powder. To serve: Brew a cup of black tea and add the Chai Tea Latte mix to taste. Add a splash of soy milk. Guest guest
Hmmm Curry, chilli or my all time favourite cheese stuffed jacket potatoes (where you bake the potato, when cooked split it, scoop out the flesh, mash with some butter, salt and cheese of choice (cheddar is good) pile back into the skins and put back into the oven for 5 minutes to melt through), curry remind me of a good friend who introduced me to it, chilli reminds me of visits to the US and the baked potato we always had on Halloween and Bonfire night - ah memories!
