Guest guest
Barbara, Don't laugh, it's a Richard Simmons product. It is called the Steam-Heat. It was less than $40 through Amazon. I researched all the other steamers, and the stacked steamers tend to impart the flavor from the upper contain into whatever is cooking below. Amazon has it available through different retailers. You can get it for up to 55% off the original price. I checked the numbers on the plastic and it's safe to cook in. There is a story behind the low price. Richard Simmons was on the David Letterman show demonstrating the product. David Letterman pulled a prank and had someone rig the steamer to burst into flames. Bad practical joke. A lot of people won't buy it because they think that it will burst into flames. Simmons has even pulled the product from his website. I checked all product recalls before ordering it, and there are none. It's perfectly safe, and at a very reasonable price. Guest guest
I never thought of steaming potatoes for potato salad. I always cook them too long and end up w/ mashed potato salad lol. I will try steaming them next time, thanks for the tip! Pam To cure jealousy is to see it for what it is, a dissatisfaction with self.
