This morning's smoothie included several leaves of red lettuce, a small handful of mung bean sprouts, a spoonful of flax seeds and a handful each of kiwi, strawberries, nectarines and grapes. I just use whatever I have on hand and I always seem to like it. I drink a smoothie for breakfast every single day and I do not miss ordinary breakfast foods. I'll bet your kids would like this, too. Add a little bit of beets to it to make it a bright pink that children love. If you want lots of recipes, you could try a book called The Smoothie Bible.
