Guest guest
Many people can't handle soy without severe gastric distress. Dpont give it to him. My one cat loves tofu and will eat a bit when I open a package. It doesn't bother her but the other cat runs from it. We recently adopted my mom's dog, and last night my 2 1/2 year old kept throwing her tofu on the floor after partially chewing it up (yesterday I was actually glad to be a working mom! LOL) Well, this morning he was up very early and did his business in the house a few times. Then, when I got home from work, his crate was all soiled (along with his precious white curl coat) and he has thrown up twice, both times had tofu chunks not digested. So a thought occured to me that he probably shouldn't have had the tofu... ? Cassie
Guest guest
My husband suggested that we just put him in his crate before we sit down to eat (I knew I kept him around for something LOL). I just feel badly for him, as he is on your heels the instant you set foot in the kitchen poor thing has been pampered his whole 10 year long life and he is such a scavenger! Who knew? Guest guest
You have to break that bad habit. Many fpods we eat can disagree with your dog, all the nibbles can cause weight gain too. I had an Uncle whpo had a dog that begs at the dinner table non-stop, of course my Uncle would feed him everything. Spook got so fat he would get stuck in his doggy door and I'd have to push his butt through. He also passed at 7 from his junk diet. So, we > now > avoid that. Here in Washington state it's well known that dogs shouldn't eat salmon. <http://www.vetmed.wsu.edu/clientED/salmon.aspx> A littermate of our youngest Border Collie got into some salmon cleanings and almost died recently. We make our own soy milk and the okara (leftover cooked, ground soybean skins) is a special treat enjoyed by all our dogs. The hens go wild when I put it in their dish. If I have tofu that goes 'off' I give it to the hens, never to the dogs. ~ irene in rural western WA where we're snowed in, big storm on the way, with a White Christmas after that.
