Guest guest
Hello, Fellow Foodies, I really enjoy " improv cooking " - cooking with what you have available. One of my favorite combos: A cup (or can) of drained cooked black beans A cup (or can) of drained corn about a half cup of salsa - whatever kind you like best Mix together, add a little vinegar and oil and some fresh chopped cilantro or parsley, and Voila! a potluck dish. If you want something hot, you could heat this up and add some cooked rice for a good hearty soup. Looking forward to ideas from others, Mrs Fyrsmith (my husband is the Fyrsmith - a lampwork glassblower)
Guest guest
We make something similar with orzo cooked in the salsa and 4 cup up Morningstar chickn patties. The parmesan ones are really good. We try to stay away from the processed foods, but this SW dish is just too good and so easy to make! Jillian _ In a message dated 6/11/2009 12:39:23 A.M.
