Guest guest Posted July 12, 2009 Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 I am trying a variety that is very prolific, just harvested 5 lbs. I thought that variety was good as a shellie, but found out otherwise, also, that it does not freeze well. I have already given many gallon bags to friends.... I have been making several things, including cream of green bean soup, using them steamed and cooled in salads.....Right now i am stewing one pound of them with tomatoes, garlic and onions that had been sauteed in olive oil.
