Guest guest
Pillsbury makes a good one in those cans that you pop open, near the canned biscuits. You just unroll it onto your baking sheet. Another pizza crust that we use often, are those that buy those paper pouches of pizza crust mix. They will either be near the pizza sauce jars or the paper pouches of muffin mix. You just add water, stir it about 20 times and let sit covered for about 10 minutes. Then spread out onto a sprayed pizza pan. I always bake my crust for about 5 minutes before adding the sauce, browned vegetarian burger and other toppings. It make the crust keep from being soggy and both tastes great. http://www.shopfoodex.com/betty-crocker-pizza-crust-pouch-p-36127.html http://www.amazon.com/Arrowhead-Mills-Pizza-Crust-18-Ounce/dp/B000EUG6ZE Judy - abc xyz Pantry_Challenge ; vegetarian group Thursday, August 20, 2009 11:54 AM Which pizza base to use? Guest guest
Another idea for pizza crusts, are pita bread, leave it whole and use it as a pizza crust. These taste so good. Also the Flat Out Breads make great pizza crusts. English Muffins, split in half make delicious bases for your pizza. You can buy stacks of premade Naan bread. I do this and use those my pizza bases too. They make excellent ones So many ways to have great pizza with any of these and those in the other e-mail I just sent. We were just eating at McAlisters Deli restaurant and they had made pizzas on a round whole wheat soft tortilla, that they had crisped up in the oven prior to putting on the toppings to bake. It wasn't bad and is another option, but wouldn't be my first option. Judy .

Guest guest
If you have a Trader Joes nearby, they sell a really good, fresh pizza dough. They have three different ones, plain, whole wheat and garlic & hearbs. You'll find it next to the cheeses and prepared salads/sandwiches. Their pizza sauce is tasty too. ~Kim , abc xyz <cheerful_r_u wrote: > > Hi Friends, > > I want to make pizza at home, can any one suggest which readymade pizza base should i use? Guest guest
Just be *very* careful with those pre-made ones, lots of them might still contain lard or animal fats of some kind. I actually like the cheapie little walmart brand (dry) package that is like 50 cents. Just had hot water, wait 5 minutes and press into a pan. I discovered I like pizza more w/o red sauce. Some chopped garlic, olive oil and other toppings (fresh tomatoes OK!). YUM! Pizza is our Wed. night dinner, tacos on Friday, burgers on Sunday... every other night is " whatever " I feel like making. mouse
