Guest guest
Hi Roseta, Thanks for the info. So I suppose I'd do better then to buy some onion seeds for a few dollars rather than immediately getting supermarket onions and waiting for them to go to seed. Starting with the seeds at least I could have a first generation in three or four months. I read in at least one description that if a chunk is taken out of the onion bulb, it won't grow(!?). Take care, Slim , " rosetalleo " <rosetalleo wrote: > > Slim, you can grow grocery store onions and garlic that get the greens sprouting. I usually plant the whole thing, then harvest the seeds from the onions. I would starve as a commercial onion grower, but i have enough for scallions and to do companion planting. > Roseta > > --
