For lunch I made some leek andpotato soup which we had with Colin's homemade spelt bread. We went outthis evening and had vegetable fritters with mango chutney, followed bychestnut roast with cranberry sauce and sauteed vegetables, followed byChristmas pudding and ice cream. We go to the Riverside Vegetaria everyyear for a pre-Yule dinner :-) We also go there for special occasions likebirthdays, engagements etc.Jo Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Guest guest
Thanks, Audrey. You are right, it is partially about knowing that something will make you ill. I was truly surprised by how much my tastes changed once I gave up certain things, though. For example, I was a lifelong milk drinker before. I drank almost a gallon a week just because that was what I was raised on and it was the first thing that I had every morning, kind of like a coffee habit. Now that I have given it up, I don't crave it one bit. I tried it once just to see if I still liked it and I found it repulsive. I have also found that by trying certain raw foods more than once, I have developed a liking for some things that I never, ever dreamed that I would eat or like. So, if anyone is trying to make some changes, just hang in there and it will happen for you, too. Mary in MI
