Guest guest
Drats, I never should read the posts when my stomach is informing me that it is empty. It isn't, of course, but the thing likes to tell me it is. Here's the way ot-ish thing. The albino squirrel who lives in our old oak had babies and they were zipping all around the front yard today. I had the blinds up so the cats could watch the bird-o-vision and squirrel-o-vision, so they were all lined up in the kitchen and on my desk, the curio cabinet and anything else they could see from, including being wrapped around my neck. (That was Hoover, the second eldest at 23 years of age. His Mamma, Callista, is 24.) Two of the little ones ran up into the bush right under the window here and one jumped onto the screen, then the other, so we ended up with two young squirrels and 5,432,716 cats going crazy in here, trying to teleport outside. The cats yikk yikk yikked at the squirrels and the squirrels forgot how to get their claws out of the screen mesh. A good time was had by all, except when I had to catch the computer as Linus (a really big, healthy cat the size of a Maine Coon cat) knocked it almost off the desk as he tried to get at the squirrels. To think some folks believe I must get bored not working or going out much. Who has time for boredom? Jeanne in GA Tonight's dinner: TVP porcupine meatlessballs simmered in veggie brown gravy, fresh green beans, the usual summer salad (fresh tomatoes, onions, cucumbers in a light rice wine vinegar/sugar/water dressing), fried Mexican corn and hot fudge cake for dessert. The porcupine balls are seasoned, cooked rice and ground beef ish TVP and the fried Mexican corn is diced, sauteed red sweet peppers, onions and corn cut off the cob. Fast and easy. Guest guest
Freat story Jeanne! Your cats sound wonderful. I have two cats. Lucky Happy Cat ( called Lucky ) and Ting Ting. They are both adorable ( not that I am at all biased! ) and enjoy eating my bamboo when I am not looking. Take care, Adelaide
