Guest guest
Eating 100 % whole grains cereals, breads, rice, in muffins, etc will really help you feel full and for a long time. Also beans and mushrooms gives a nice filling feeling. I add them to my tossed salad, along with some crumbled up multigrain crackers. Cheese is also a good addition for giving filling you. Eat some good fiber foods in fresh fruits and veggies. Guest guest
also try some of the meat substitutes. they really add a wonderful texture and flavor to meals. We love the Worthington/Loma Linda and Morningstar Farms ones. Guest guest
I wonder if your body is getting sufficient protein, to start with. As for a good filler, grains, beans, legumes and other high fiber foods go a long way to taking care of that empty feeling, since they generally will stick around in your stomach a bit longer than low fiber foods. One dinner I like for its " stick to the ribs " filling is Spanish rice, refried beans and corn tortillas. But then, I could eat that particular dinner 5 nights out of 7. The other two nights I need to take care of my pasta needs. Congrats on your choice to go veggie! Jeanne in GA
Guest guest
Beans are really filling. I often eat a hearty chili or a bean soup with a salad. You'll be nicely full when you finish. - DJ ----------------------- Always remember: Today's mighty oak is simply yesterday's nut that held its ground... _____ On Behalf Of Vigilius Haufniensis Monday, March 09, 2009 1:49 PM Question on vegetarianism... I can do vegetables, and I am attempting to do so, but my main problem is that if I don't eat meat, I'm hungry like 30 minutes later. Whats up with that? Is there anything I can eat that would be more substantive?
