Guest guest
As far as I know the original tainted peanut butter was local to the US. Improper handling at some point. *sighs* Any more I wish I lived out in the country or suburbs where I could have enough land to raise my own food, buy trustworthy organic stuff and make my own things. Probably would be a tad more expensive, but I'd wager a 100% safer. Dennis
Guest guest
Not only was it contaminated in a US warehouse (GA), but the company shipped products even after their own tests showed salmonella. Google 'peanut products recall'. It seems only peanut flavored products are affected rather than the main peanut butter brands of peanut butter. I recently posted a method to make your own out of raw peanuts I bought. I wish I had enough lands to grow my peanuts and my soy too... , DennSedai <DennSedai wrote: > > As far as I know the original tainted peanut butter was local to the US. > Improper handling at some point. *sighs* Any more I wish I lived out in > the country or suburbs where I could have enough land to raise my own > food, buy trustworthy organic stuff and make my own things. Guest guest
The company is a Lynchburg, VA-based company, and the product came from their warehouse in Georgia. As someone else mentioned, they knew about the issues beforehand and even tried to export some tainted product.
