Guest guest
I bought both the ginger teriyaki and the southwestern. Anyone else like these? I think they are very good. Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
Every time I go to the MS section I look at them but pass them by. Â I'll take your word on it and give them a try. I just wish you didn't have to take out a loan to buy the MS products. Guest guest
I've only tried the Morningstar black bean burger, which I think is pretty good. I have always pretty much stayed away from the meat substitutes until yesterday! I visited a small natural market relatively close to our house yesterday and broke down and bought some Quorn cranberry and goat cheese chikn cutlets and Quorn meatballs. (the meatballs are for the hubby - a meat eater but I try to fix him the healthier version when I can.) He actually likes the Morningstar sausage links pretty well. He says if you put them in from of a meat eater and didn't tell them they were not meat they would not know the difference! (which is one of the main reasons I don't eat them...do not like the taste of sausage at all!!!) Anyway this has gotten pretty long, sorry about that. It is a winter wonderland here today so I decided to stay in all week end and try cooking some different veg meals for us. (which, if you know me is a big deal b/c I really don't like to cook) Yesterday I made the carrot citrus soup from the files, it turned out really good! With it I made just a simple asian stirfry w/ lots of veggies! Not sure what I'm making today yet...still thinking about it. Maybe something w/ black beans which I love! Maybe a wrap of some sort... Guest guest
n I was vegetarian I tried and found them to be very tasty. I used to like the other things they had. Not sure if they still have them. If memory is right they were breakfast scrambles that came in mini patti shape. Only one that comes to mind right now is the Eggs Florentine one they had. Guest guest
Just want to add to my post. Noticed half of it is missing. I used to be a vegetarian and stuff like this is good for transitioning. Now I am vegan and my diet consists mainly of raw vegan. I do not use processed foods in my house anymore. Thankfully stuff like Boca, Morningstar and Garden Burger tastes so much better than it did in the late 80's Good Luck to all. , " ZippyPo " <joestud469 wrote: > > n I was vegetarian I tried and found them to be very tasty. > I used to like the other things they had. Guest guest
There are some good meat substitutes out there, Quorn is my favorite brand. My dad is watching his cholesterol (he has so much self-control, I admire him!) and I recommended the Morningstar Farms and Boca sausage links, which he and his wife love. He was very impressed by the Worthington brand Big Franks (which are vegan!) -- your husband would probably approve, if he likes the breakfast sausages. I think they're around 110 calories per hot dog, and 11 grams of protein! I don't eat them often, but they satisfy my hot dog cravings. Audrey S.
