Guest guest
Yes, please do. Â Snow has just started, winter storm warning in effect, and I was just looking in my kitchen cabinets for inspiration for tonight's dinner. Â Definitely a soup day. Guest guest
This is tried and true. I loved it. I added some sea weed I got from Donna and some smoked paprika that I got from Donna. Here goes: Super Quick Black Bean Soup ¼ cup chopped red onion ¼ cup of water 1 teaspoon ground cumin ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper 14 ounces vegetable broth 30 ounces canned black beans, rinsed 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice Combine first five ingredients in a sauce pan. Add 22 ounces of the canned black beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes. Place bean mixture in a blender. Remove center piece of blender lid to let steam escape, secure lid on blender. Place a clean towel over the opening to avoid splatters. Blend until smooth. Return to pan. Add remaining black beans. Heat for 2 minutes. Add juice and set aside. On Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 1:48 PM, Sue Ruger <kup wrote: > Of course! Guest guest
I can do that! Sounds good. I will have to skip the sea weed, though. Thanks, sue Marilyn Daub wrote: > > > This is tried and true. I loved it. I added some sea weed I got from Donna > and some smoked paprika that I got from Donna. Guest guest
The sea weed is not necessary. It was very quick and very good.
