Hmm, I've never tried the g'burger ones. I usually get the Boca brand breaded

patties for hubby, I don't eat them often. I wasn't crazy about the quorn

patties but we do use the chunks sometimes (fav is

pasta/broccoli/quorn/mushrooms/olive oil etc).

There's a recipe for chickpea cultlets in Veganomicon that I haven't

tried it (keep meaning to), but I remember the recipe getting a lot

raves when the book first came out. If you want me to post the recipe,

just yell :) Peace, Mo

I'd love to see it Mo, thanks! I remember sitting in the bookstore browsing

through that cookbook after it came out (I have way too many cookbooks and it's

quite pricey as well, so I wasn't ready to buy it).

I don't know if G'burger even makes them anymore, haven't seen them for a while.

I liked them because they weren't breaded, just plain. Something about the

texture of the quorn cutlets bugs me but I do like the roast. I'll have to try

the chunks. Your pasta dish sounds good.

Peace,

Diane

That's funny, I love the quorn naked cutlets but I think the roast is kinda

rubbery. I like having plain fake chicken, too -- I put it in my mom's

recipes instead of the real thing :)

I like the quorn chunks but I agree with you on the patties, not sure what it

is. I haven't tried the roast yet, but I'm going to, plus you can use it for

other things - I just find the chunks convenient. I saute them first as

well(and add tumeric, I like the flavor!).

Next is TVP. I tried some pre-made " turkey " salad from Whole Foods with it, not

bad (I had to add a few things, it was too plain for my taste). I also had a

bad experience with seitan (may have been the brand I got), didn't like the

smell or taste at all, but eventually I'll try to make my own. Not many veg

restaurants around here, but that would be a good way to try it if it was on the

menu. I don't have any veg friends nearby either!

The recipes with veggies aren't my issue (I love all veggies), it's finding

things that will " satify " the meat eaters in my family, even if it's just

sometimes!
