Guest guest
Stephanie, I say, if it smells and looks good to you, have a little! You might be surprised -- it may not taste as good as you thought it would. I really think our tastebuds change. I quit poultry and pork first (for animal welfare reasons), but still occasionally ate beef when eating out -- I know, I did it backwards compared to everybody else, but it worked for me. The smells of a steakhouse or a bbq place were so tempting there for a while -- you're from Kansas City, too, you understand! Then, when I hadn't eaten meat of any kind for about a month, my dad grilled filet mignon, which used to be one of my favorites. I just couldn't do it -- it didn't taste good, the texture was abhorrent, I couldn't even choke down half of it. Since then, I can be in the best steakhouse in the city and be more than happy with my baked potato and salad. So, whatever it takes! Audrey S. Guest guest
Thanks Audrey. I appreciate the encouragement. I have noticed that the last couple of times we went out my hubby's steak didn't smell as good as they used to. Have a merry Christmas.
