Tangy roasted tomato and tomatilla salsa, a particular holiday favorite.

I love to make Christmas cookies every year.  My staples are pizzelles, date nut

balls and peanut butter kisses, but every year I love to try something

different.  Does anyone happen to know of any cookies recipes that don't use

eggs?  I have a friend who is a Hare Krishna and they don't eat eggs so I was

hoping to make him something sweet but egg-free.

I let DH talk me into making my mom's sugar cookie recipe, cut into

seasonal shapes, and make icing so he can decorate them. This year,

he might even learn to make the icing, which would just leave me with

the baking. Today was baking day, as a matter of fact.
