Your then boyfriend was a great sport about it all, making you realize you weren't alone with this issue and then jumping in to clean it up. We've all had mice at some or another, with winter being the worse time for them trying to find their way inside. Only 2 of our 8 kitties are much hunters, unfortunately. I'm like you, I hate to put out poisen or traps. To much of a risk that our cats will get into it and break a foot from the traps or eat the poisen.
