Guest guest
Kathleen I know many upper class who smoke and you have no idea how many of the resident doctors at UCLA smoke and many have a drinking problem. More poor smoke? I don't believe that for a minute. That's like saying everyone with a tattoo is a gang member or a criminal, in reality you will find most criminals and gang members in jail do have a tattoo or more. Smokers are smokers whether rich or poor, it's an addiction and it has nothing to do with the wealth of a person. However, as I have said before, the cost tends to be laid on the backs of the poor who continue to be the largest numbers of smokers. They were targeted by the cigarette companies in inner cities. Now-a-days, very few middle class and upper middle class people smoke. Kathleen Retired Social Worker and Welfare Worker That is so wrong. It doesn't make people stop either.
