A sure fire way to quit doing something that is harmful is to do it for someone

else. When you care enough for others that you don't want to see in them

emotional or physical pain caused by you...You'll gladly quit.

That may be true--when I quit smoking, it was because my late first husband

needed to quit because of his heart and I felt that me continuing would make it

too tough for him. Come this October, it'll be 20 years since my last cigarette.
