Don't even think of eating down south

We went with some friends to Cracker Barrel for lunch and both of us ordered

several of the vegetables. Everything came with meat in it. It wasn't worth

complaining about because the way they cook vegetables the ham gets tossed in at

the start. Living down in the deeeeeeeep South the only vegetarian friendly

thing I've been able to find is a small side salad with dressing on the side or

a baked potato with margarine or whatever on the side.

Burger King supposedly has a veggie burger but not down here so I asked for a

sandwich with extra lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle and NO burger and they

flopped a burger on it. When I said  (quietly) that I had asked for a sandwich

without meat, they made a huge joke of it and flicked the burger off the bun and

handed me the sandwich back. That's when I asked for the manager and my money

back. The staff thought it was very amusing to mock me as I waited for my money

back. Guess where we don't eat any more?

Oh, did I forget to mention that I called the food inspection people here?
