WE are going out for Japenese, but in past years when we've done quiet New

Year's " in, " we

like to do sort of an easy appetizer spread. Stuffed mushrooms, brie with

apples and bread (if

you do dairy), mini pita pizza's with pesto and tomatoes, greek olives, and of

course

wine...happy new year!

I'm making spaghetti sauce with zucchini, yellow squash, porti's, onions and

garlic in it and I will toss with my pasta and use some of the sauce for my

pizza.

I have tons of wine, sake, Jagermeister and aquavet in the garage. Hummmm maybe

I will have a drink or 3 lol

I will have yummy leftovers for New Year's Day.

Happy New Year

We have some friends over for dinner and snacks on New Years and shoot off

fireworks at midnight.

We are having Fri-chik Holiday Ring, Roasted Butternut Squash & Carrot

Soup(Bisque), Iranian Rice, Guacamole and chips, Hidden Valley Oyster Crackers,

Spinach Rolls, Fresh Bing Cherries, Pecan Fudge and " Appelpaj " Swedish Apple

Pie.

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone,

Judy

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions!

I think homemade pizza is a super idea for New Year's Eve, as Maureen

and Donna are doing, but I just did homemade pizza on Sunday. Shoulda

saved the idea. Oh, well.

I think I'll do black beans, brown rice, spinach, and cheese in a

tortilla shell, using those cool tortilla molds Donna introduced me

to. A nice, hearty meal for a chilly New Year's Eve.

Enjoy your celebration! (We're in California, but we bring in the New

Year with CNN at midnight Eastern. Been our tradition the last

several years. Much easier that way...)

How very nice of you and your hubby to do this.

The last 4 years my hubby and I have done the following...it has kind of become

a tradition.

He works and closes so his staff do not have to close on NYE and can enjoy. (he

is in retail and they close at MN) We do take in snacks for the staff to enjoy

who are working during the day/evening.

I have been taking snacks/treats up to my workplace at around 10pm and set it

all up w/ nonalcoholic champagne and those cute little plastic wine glasses. I

leave there around 11pm so I can make it to his work as close to MN as possible,

then we toast in the New Year (with a bottle of champagne we sneak in) and kiss!

It's kind of sweet. No real 'dinner' just him and I in the store toasting. It

has worked out well so far and the employees love getting the treats.

Happy New Year everyone!
