Guest guest
These are easy, tasty, atttractive and everyone wants the recipe. I've been making them for years! Donna Chocolate Kiss Peanut Blossoms 1 3/4 cups all-purpose or unbleached flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup vegetable shortening 1/2 cup peanut butter ( I use crunchy but smooth will work) 2 tbsps. milk, soy or rice works 1 tsp. vanilla 1 large egg sugar(I roll in turbinado sugar) 48 Hershey kisses milk chocolates, unwrapped (don't leave the file on LOL ) Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg; mix at low speed until stiff dough forms. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with 1 milk chocolate candy, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge; remove from cookie sheets. Yields 4 dozen cookies. The seed is in bloom, will it meet an early doom or survive in a tranquil sea? Does it face an early end, will it find a real friend, should it be called humanity? Will creation of man bring death by his hand or will life be his destiny? The Seed - Rare earth
