Guest guest
Well I went by the local produce stand here and they still had the chestnuts......... Yeah. I was so happy. I baked them per Marilyn's instructions and peeled them immediately afterwards, per Beth warning of waiting. LOL I turned them all cut side up and put them into the 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Those skins rolled back so perfectly, just the way Marilyn has said they would. No explosions either. Whew. lol I tossed them with some salt and returned them to the baking sheet and the oven and let them stay in there while the oven cooled down(door closed). They are just delicious and have a nice sweet flavor to them. Thank again Beth and Marilyn. Donna hopefully will get her's before Christmas, so she can enjoy roasted chestnuts on Christmas too. I was excited to find this website that mentions how low in calories, yet rich in nutrition the chestnut is. http://www.chestnutsforsale.com/nutrition_chestnuts.htm Now that is a great combo. Merry Christmas everyone, Judy
