Guest guest
Hey Ande Frayser, Now this was me being very tolerant. I used to park at work next to a guy from Kuwait, we used to say hello and talk for a few minutes a few times a week. He asked me if I had eaten Kuwaiti food in the past. I was 23 and had never even heard of Kuwait so when he invited me to his family gathering I was excited. He explained it would be vegetarian. I wasn't a veg. then but being raised by a vegan that was no problem, I baked sweet bread and headed to his house. Well I had on my 6 inch stileto heels, 3 inch long fingernails and I had no idea I would be sitting on a pillow on the floor with a long mat rolled out in front of us. I was wondering how I was going to stand up, then I see we have no silverware, hummmmmm I thought, well my nails are long enough to work as a spoon. LOL Oh man, I didn't like the food at all but I had to eat it, there was not even a table to look for a Fido to rescue me out of that one. So I say, tell those people to eat their non-veg food and then come to your event and partake in some delicious side dishes and desserts. Moral to the story is, if they love and respect your family they will be happy to be with you for this joyous event and if they are insisting on bringing meat and decide not to attend, that will show you where you stand. If I'm invited somewhere and it states no liquor then I would never bring a bottle, maybe a flask in my purse but nothing in view. LOL Love ya Donna We gotta stop smokin', stop, stop. I mean cigarette smoking. - Jimi Hendrix, Midnight Lightning --- On Tue, 3/17/09, ande frayser <andefrayser wrote: ande frayser <andefrayser (unknown) Tuesday, March 17, 2009, 8:48 AM Donna- you bring such joy to my spirit!
