Guest guest Posted February 17, 2009 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 Dear Uhura, In India, we used to hard variety of Banana, sliced and sun dry for 4 days without any preservatives and stored in air tight glass container.That will be stored for more than 100 days in normal climate and if stored in cold condition prolong self life for 200 days. If it is soaked in very dilute sugar or salt solutions and sun dried is able to increase its self life for tear long in closed container. Because we usually storing Mango and Jack fruits in salt water for year long to use as vegetable in off seasons.
