Guest guest
Hello everyone. I firstly wanted to say thank you to the moderators for allowing me to join you all (again). I had been a member for a short time a few months ago but as a newish vegetarian who lapsed a little, I felt guilty being here and so left. After reflecting on it, I'm sure I'm not the only person that has lapsed whilst trying to change my dietary habits. <smile> So I applied to join your wonderful group again and was graciously allowed back in. ) My name is Dot. I live in rural Victoria, Australia, with my DH and our 2 youngest of 7 children. I have been on this vegetarian journey for several years now. I've never been a fan of meat and as a child would swap my meat for my brother vegies when mum wasn't looking. LOL! I now see my youngest dd (8yo) doing that with her brother (10 yo). I however, encourage it and they don't have to hide the fact from me. LOL. I wonder if some of us really are just born to not be meat eaters. I come from a very big meat eating family. I'm the odd one out. You would think as I don't like meat anyway, the transition to being completely vegetarian wouldn't be difficult. Well of course it's not. I've never met a vegetable I don't like but my biggest problem is having to cook separately for myself to the rest of my family. Still, I plug away and I'm pretty sure it won't be too long that I'm organised enough to be able to call myself a vegetarian in the true sense of the word. Again, thank you for allowing me to be a member here. I really appreciate it. This really is an amazing forum for sharing. I hope I too can contribute some delicious recipes very soon. ~Dot (Australia) Make 7 your homepage and win a trip to the Quiksilver Pro.
