Guest guest
hey faith, i'm over in england! i do know one vegan group but they are about 40 minutes from where i live! i'm trying to find a vegan group in my area because i heard there was one. i don't know if you have heard of 'one world' camp. it's a camp that lasts for about a week (but you can go daily) and they hold many activities such as yoga and arts, are very ethical and do mainly vegan food. i'm going there this summer so that should be fun! x --- On Mon, 28/7/08, Faith <tigerpainter wrote: Faith <tigerpainter welcome Date: Monday, 28 July, 2008, 10:26 PM Hi Betty,My husband and I were vegetarian for a long time because we didn'twant animals to suffer for our food. Guest guest
Hello again, That sounds lovely. We have never attended a large vegan or vegetarian gathering, but we'd love to go to one some time. This summer is booked up for us. I'm finishing neurology at one vet school, the moving, and a week later starting classes at another vet school. It will be a crazy summer. Have you heard of the vegetarian cruise? I thought that sounded fun. Really, I'd go to any gathering with a large number of vegans and vegetarians. ~Faith , Elizabeth Harris <vegan_betty wrote: > > hey faith, > i'm over in england! > i do know one vegan group but they are about 40 minutes from where i live! i'm trying to find a vegan group in my area because i heard there was one. > Â > i don't know if you have heard of 'one world' camp. it's a camp that lasts for about a week (but you can go daily) and they hold many activities such as yoga and arts, are very ethical and do mainly vegan food. i'm going there this summer so that should be fun! > Â > x

Not for this year, but later, look for the North American Vegetarian Society conferences. IIRC, they're usually in late July and usually somewhere in Pennsylvania or NY. It's something like 4 days of talks and food, surrounded by people who, if not already veg*ns, are at least interested in learning about them. I went once. Guest guest
Hi Maria. I too have decided to become vegetarian and just joined this group. In less than a week, I've already copied several recipes to use and truly enjoy the interactions amongst the group members. Don't hesitate to offer questions, recipes, feedback, etc. It's a very interactive and friendly group. Betsy
