Guest guest
This site gives some detailed reviews of the major makes of soymilk making machines and discussion of their use: http://www.soya.be/soy-milk-maker.php 1) Usually the machines make between 1.5 and 2 liters in a batch of milk, depending on the brand, sometimes a little more or less. 2) The machines are much easier and quicker to use than making the milk by hand on the stove-top and have less of a chance of a boil-over mess, or a scorched batch. Make a few batches of milk by hand and likely you will have some good results and really start to want the soymilk machine. 3) Yes the milk can be used to make tofu. Though not too much at a time, from a 1 or 2 liter batch. In the US the Soyquick and Soyajoy machines have just about run the others out of the market. They get very favorable reviews on most all the vegetarian groups. Once you're familiar with the types of makers, you can frequently spot some really good deals for them on eBay, maybe used once or twice. Thirty or forty dollars delivered, for a good quality machine that sells new for one or two hundred dollars, with a good seller who backs it, if I didn't have one would be a no-brainer.
